Originally designed in 1978, the bag was named after Evelyne Bertrand, the former head of Hermès's riding department.
Designed to carry grooming equipment including a brush, comb and other essentials found in a stable, it was relegated to specific retailers of other equestrian goods.
The Evelyne is far less expensive than the Birkin or Kelly but remains one of the brand's most sought after bags.
A completely different style, purpose and aesthetic, at first glance it's surprising that the Evelyne can even compete given it's practical nature.
